This is for my breautiful great grandma, Ageniya Elkina, who passed away at 11:33pm on the 23rd of May 2009, aged 93.
It was exptected; she hadn't been well for sometime.
But the moment was still so sudden and far more intimate and difficult to deal with than I anticipated. She was an incredible woman and will be greatly missed.
She had a great personality and always spoke her mind.
She always continued on, no matter what people said - surviving through so much. My heart goes out to everyone, especially my mum, great aunt, Kaja.
You ladies were the ones who were with her day in and day out.
You took care of her till the very end, keeping her company for hours on end.
She had a peaceful pass, and was not alone at her very last moment.
I hope that they can find comfort in her memories.
I hope they come to bring them joy & peace.
This is for you Kathy; I know it is really hard right now.
But she has gone on to a better place. I know that this doesn't make it any easier though.
She was a very prominent figure in all of our lives.
I know she played a major role in yours.
Like Kaja and me, she raised us when we were children.
And was someone who you saw day after day.
Know this, that even though she isn't here anymore.
Her presence is everywhere around us, and will always be in our hearts for everymore. She was an amazing lady.
She had a smile that would light up the room.
She always had a way to make you laugh.
She had a wonderful giving spirit.

You brought us together.
You kept us together.
You kept us strong. You shared your wisdom and experiences with us all.
You always had many stories.
All your hardships and joys we heard and lessons learnt.
Even though you were part of my life in the later years of your life, all my memories of you will be treasured and will live on forever in me.
I will remember the wonders you shared, and will not forget the unspoken heartbreak.
You were a hero, an inspiration.
You taught us all so much.
We are forever grateful for all that you have done for us, your unconditional love, your generosity that was shown to each and every one of us.
When you were happy you just gave with no end, never placing a price on anyone of us.
You loved each child, grand child and great grand child equally.
No matter what we did, no matter what happened.
You were always there, to support us in our hardest and darkest moments.
It has been a blessing to have had you in my life.
Thank you for your love.
Thank you for your memories.
Thank you for all that you have done.
You live on in us all.
You will never be forgotten.
